Brianna's First Parade

While visiting Kremmling, Brianna got to watch her first parade!

The festival was called Kremmling Days. We stood near this neat shop that had a statue of a Buffalo out front while we watched the parade go by.

There were fire engines and tractors, and lots of candy being thrown to the kids!

Brianna got a great view of the parade from atop daddy's shoulders.

Photos Again! (Hedghog madness!)

Back to blogging photos once again (Have three months to catch up on!)

Anyways, my parents took us "camping" up at Green Mountain Reservoir near Kremmling, CO.

We thought we were going to be staying in a cabin, but when we got there, we were pleasently surprised to have a beautiful fully furnished house.

And one of the GREATEST things for Benny and LouLou was that they found a new friend who was staying at the house too!

Brianna made sure to introduce both her hedghogs to their new pink friend.

She LOVED running down the hallway at the house. Having all three hedgehogs made for some fun times.

Steamboat Lake (Scenery)

Below is a small collection of some of the best shots I got during the camping trip

There was a mist over the whole lake early Saturday morning, I only got the tail end of it on camera

The picture above is looking out from a field toward the lake during our hike on Saturday

A sailboat on the lake with the mountains in the distance.

And finally, our group picture.

Steamboat Lake

We also re-instituted our annual camping trip with our friends this year. We had really missed not being able to go camping last summer.

This year's destination was Steamboat Lake State Park. A lot of the pine trees had been cut down due to the beetles so the campground had several high piles of wood. Stevo sought to conquer the woodpile as soon as we arrived.

It was a nice weekend, but a little rainy. Brianna stayed with Grandma and Poppy the whole weekend while we were gone.

The lake was VERY cold and we even had to make a late night hike to the shore in the rain to get water to put out the fire.

If it was raining, why did we need water to put out the fire later that night? Well, let's just say that with all the extra wood laying around the campground, we had plenty of fuel to make a bonfire. No rain storm was going to soak this inferno :-)

Our First Hike of the Year

For our first hike to try out the new kid carrier we drove out to Dakota Ridge and walked the trail along the top overlooking Red Rocks Park and Green Mountain.

Brianna seemed to enjoy the ride, though she was a little tired.

There were some awesome views of Green Mountain from up on Dakota Ridge

Rachael and I both like to take the time to sit and look out at the spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains whenever we go on a hike. We are so blessed to live in Colorado.

It is so great to be able to share our enjoyment of the outdoors with our daughter. She already likes playing outside more than being in the house. We always keep a good supply of SPF 50 sunscreen around to make sure she's safe.

Summer, here we come!

New Summer Toys!

Here are some of the new toys that Grandma and Poppy got for Brianna

"Care Bears are comming to your town, they'll pick you up when you are down..."

One of the coolest new toys is a blow up bounce and ball pit. She even helped Poppy get it ready.

Hannah was there as well to join in the fun!

We all enjoyed watching Hannah learn to use her new hula-hoop

Hiding in the Closet

Brianna occasionally likes to hide in the closet in our bedroom

Notice that in each of these pictures she is wearing a different outfit...

... each outfit is a different day that she decided to hide

And what if the closet is blocked?

She tries for an even tighter place to "hide"

Also, in the picture above you can see our new kid carrier backpack to the left. Now we can carry Brianna with us comfortably when we go on hikes!
