More to come!

It's getting late tonight, so I am going to stop for now and try to post the rest (Christmas, January, and February) either tomorrow or later this week.

Brianna's Car and Dog

The other early Christmas gift Brianna got at the beginning of December was a new car! Grandma Tomey has always been able to find great deals on things and found this car really cheap at the Goodwill store.

The car is now an outside toy, but as you can see, she loved putting the dog in her car and pushing him around the house throughout the month of December.

She would also ride with him in the car. She LOVES that dog and we STILL have him out to this day... long past Christmas.

Unfortunately, the dog has been ran over, body-slammed, squeezed, and thrown so many times that his arms don't move so well anymore and he makes a sort of grinding noise when he sings and dances now-a-days... *sigh* an over-loved toy!

His Santa hat has become unsown from his head now, too. I'm thinking it's about time we hid the dog away somewhere safe... It's just so difficult to take him away from her, though. Just the other night she started him singing "Jingle Bells" again from her crib before she fell asleep.

Thanksgiving with Cousin Hannah

Brianna got a stuffed dog on Thanksgiving (on the left) that sings and dances to three different Christmas songs.

She enjoys having her cousin Hannah around to play and color with her.

They even got to break the wishbone from the turkey! I don't recall who got the bigger half...

And we had a nice family picture taken to share with the extended family back in Tennessee.

Justin and Rachael's Anniversary

We went to Vail for the weekend to celebrate our 4th anniversary

We had dinner at Lancelot's, home of the best prime rib in Vail

Everything was decorated for the holidays, it was really a spectacular site to walk around the village

We spent a free night at the Vail Cascade Resort, thanks to Rachael's job at the Inverness Hotel in Denver.

Doll Tea Party

One day in early November, Brianna decided to pull all her chairs into the entry, put her dolls in them, and sit for a little tea party

Maybe it was more of a discussion... not much tea was being had...

She just sat there talking to her dolls and having a grand old time.

Eventually she got up, grabbed her juice and daddy's hand, and had him sit down to join in the discussion too.

Halloween 2009 - Trick or Treating

The unicorn pumpkin was to match Bri's costume this year...

We had a great time trick-or-treating around my parents' neighborhood. You'll notice that most of the snow from a few days earlier had melted off. The weather was actually pretty nice for Halloween this year in Colorado.

She caught on to the idea quickly. We'd help her ring the doorbell and she would stand there waiting for the door to open, then smile really big and would even say "twick-o-twee!" while holding out her bucket. She was a hit at almost every house, with several people exclaiming how cute she was!

And of course, she got quite the haul of candy!

She was very happy to have just a few suckers, some sweet tarts, chips, a pencil and a plastic ball.

Halloween 2009 - Pumpkin Carving

Brianna had lots of fun squishing the pumpkin guts in her hands :-)

I decided to get creative this year and made a unicorn pumpkin for Brianna

I think it turned out rather well!
