Chicago or Bust!

For our second anniversary coming up on the 19th, Rachael and I have decided to spend some well deserved vacation time in Chicago! We are leaving early tomorrow morning, so we are headed off to bed early tonight. Don't worry though, we will be keeping the blog up to date along the way as we have it set up to go mobile!!! Keep checking in for pictures from our trip!

What am I?

Here is the "little one" all curled up and relaxed, posing for the most recent photo...

So, what am I?

I'm a GIRL!!!

P.S. No pink please :-)

Anticipation

Today we find out if we are having a little boy or girl! We've been looking forward to this day for a while now and are both very excited to find out. Rachael and I woke up early this morning for me to take her in to work so that I can pick her up later. Our appointment is at 3:30pm, but I can hardly wait. We'll be sure to post the news and ultrasounds as soon as we can!

Look Ma', No More Boxes!

After a strenuous Saturday, Rachael and I (especially me) awoke rather sore and stiff for our second day of moving. Thankfully the hardest part was done and, with my mom's help, we were able to get the kitchen packed up and stored.

With the final box packed away and the last of the fragile items loaded into my parents vehicles, we were finally able to see the condo (nearly) empty again.

All that remains to do is some dusting, a little touch-up paint, and some steam cleaning. What a weekend!

Moving Day...

After checking with a lot of storage places, we decided to go with SmartBoxes (Think PODS, only a lot less expensive). They were delivered early Saturday morning, giving us all weekend to pack them full.

Thankfully, our friend Scott was able to help us move, even after his even earlier morning of PT for the Navy. He is a great friend and has always been willing to help us out. Ya gotta love the BK crown!

We spent the next several hours bringing furniture and boxes down the three flights of stairs to the storage units while Rachael continued to pack and clear a path for us. She was able to help with some of the lighter boxes, but I made sure to remind her that she wasn't suppose to be lifting very much.

With our first day of moving out of the way, Scott and a few other friends got together that evening to have some dinner and relax by playing a quick game of Risk followed by Guitar Hero.
